You may still be hesitant to purchase a kindle, nook or other e-reader but I would suggest one for travel for many reasons.If you are traveling to a new location and like to plan a head it may be worth it to bring your e-reader rather than guide books, maps and magazines.
1. Unlimited books, magazines, travel guides and maps. You could easily spend $100 on destination books for a multi city trip. With an e-reader you can save approximately thirty percent off the book cover price of possibly even get the book for free. Some products even have the option to sell the book back if you will not read or use it again. If you have a magazine subscription you can have your monthly magazine set and ready for the plane, and not pay for the airport entertainment of a new magazine at the airport . Or you can download a language hand book or guides for each place you plan to visit ccomplete with restaurant recommendations and museum guides.
2. With an e-reader being small and compact it is easy to throw in a backpack, pures or carry on for travel. Light weigh, easy to access and easy to store you guide book can actually come with you all day and not feel like a brick in your pack.
3. By far one of the best benefits to having a kindle, nook or other e-reader is that many titles are free to download or “rent” for a certain amount of time. If you have Amazon Prime you can download hundreds of books for free for 30 days. If you did this you could read a little before a trip, use it during and even catch up on things you missed afterwards. Check the list of free downloads often because new titles are added daily.
4. Wireless book delivery. You don’t need to connect to a computer to get new books or publications on your e-reader. They are delivered directly to your device as long as you have wi-fi. The battery lift on e-readers is different between products but if you charge before you leave home you should be able to last even a long international flight without it dying.
5. And if worst comes to worst and you are delayed in an airport for an entire day you will never get bored. Only down fall, the flight attendants will come by and make you turn it over before take off and landing unlike a regular paperback book.
