You have always been able to earn 30,000 mile sign-up bonus from Citi’s AAdvantage cards but this deal will allow you earn 100,000 AA miles in one day. This deal has been floating around a while and according to this thread at FlyerTalk it is still live.
The Points Guy points out that the two offers do not mention the 50,000 mile bonuses in the application but the miles will approve once you are approved and meet the spending limits.
Here is what you need to do:
Apply for the Citi AAdvantage Select American Express Card
and the Citi Platinum Select AAdvantage Visa Signature
Both cards will be worth 50,000 AAdvantage miles each. You can apply for both cards and earn 100,000 miles.
The minimum spending requirements are a combined $6,000 for both cards in four months. If that is higher than your average spending then perhaps you and your friend/spouse/partner can each get one.
What can 100,000 AAdvantage MIles get you?
-4 roundtrip domestic flights
-1 RT international business class flight
You will also earn a $100 credit for the first American Airlines purchase you make in the next year. And the $85 annual fee will be waived for one year as well.
