There is nothing that annoys me more than manufacturers never agreeing on one-size-fits-all type cables but there is a solution which is the all-in-one USB cable you see above from Innergie. When traveling I want to bring as little as possible and since my DSLR, point and shoot, external HDD, and phone all use different size USB connections it makes it impossible not to carry all of the cables.
However, this has you covered with microUSB, miniUSB and Apple dock connector cable all in one cable. It’s $20 but worth it for reducing clutter in your bag.
